A halter neck frames this patterned, floor-length black dress for classical elegance. The gathered chest panels fasten in a bow as the curved waistline flows to a low back, creating a dramatic silhouette, detailed with motifs of jewels, pearls, filigree, and heraldic scrolls.

Hand-painted motifs are meticulously placed on luxurious hammered satin silk in the Akira Story. A patina texture, sumptuous drape, and bold borders contrast the fresco-style artwork to create majestic eveningwear.

Process

Temperley prints are painstakingly hand-painted in-house. Motifs are collaged onto the body then lovingly engineered into compositions that work in harmony with the garment’s panelling, ensuring the printed fabric flows flawlessly across seam joints when the garment is constructed. The process is both meticulous and spontaneous, with an outcome that is truly unique and artisanal.

Committed to creating unique and original textiles, the Temperley team designs lace and woven fabrics in-house at our atelier, which are then crafted by our trusted partners at expert mills across the globe. We utilise best quality Italian tulle, soft and sheer, perfectly structured with a flawless drape. Another staple material includes luxurious silk, woven to create a lustrous effect, with a smooth and radiant finish, perfect for eveningwear.
