Alice’s Bedroom
"The Mimi velvet, one of my favourites from the collection, was used to upholster my bed. It’s a timeless motif and as it is so versatile it lends itself so well for being the starting point when layering a room with colour and pattern.
I love the proportions of my bedroom – with the huge french windows and high ceiling - we had the bed specially made for the space. It’s so big it’s hard to find sheets that fit!"
The Disco Ball Bathroom
"This is my sanctuary – where I go to escape and unwind. The light is magical in this room, reflecting off my disco bath in the morning and at sunset. About ten years ago a friend and I decided to break up a mirror and cover the bath in the fragments - it took a lot longer than we thought it would but it was worth it.
I wanted to create a space that had a French boudoir feel about it – a playful combination of the bold leopard and the ultra feminine pinks and florals. The Mimi flocked wallcovering was a must - and we used the pink Freida velvet in Vintage Rose for the curtains, adding the matching trellis trim to the top to add texture and detail."
"I upholstered my vintage chair in the Bonita velvet – mixing the leopard with the florals is the perfect example of how you can layer so many elements from the collection.
My vintage rugs, giant clam shell and disco balls are pieces I love and have collected over the years. The Union Jack plinth adds some playfulness and humour to the space."
The Euphoria Bathroom
"This bathroom is connected by a small staircase from my bedroom and is directly below my bathroom. I wanted it to feel French, masculine yet decadent. I found the vintage chandelier, wall lights and Venetian mirrors in antique shops and markets.
The colour palette of the Euphoria wallcovering works with the painted check floor detailing which we created using Colourman paints."
The Guest Bedroom
"This is a guest room so I wanted it to be a calm, quiet space. We chose the Delilah wallcovering – it’s a playful motif but in a muted colour palette.
The metallic base gives an unexpected richness and decadence. We used the leopard Saskia jacquard weave for the bed canopy – the ideal coordinate that brings the room together."
